1996 was the first year that the GTS became available. With an increase of horsepower to 450 from the previous 400 on the RT/10, the GTS became an immediate sensation! Aluminum suspension components replaced the previous steel control arms and cast iron knuckles which resulted in a reduction of weight. The 1996 Blue/White GTS is condsidered one of the most collectible of all Vipers.
